Criticism of the video of Tales of Arise

The Tales series has released what could very well be something like its 100th opus. Tales of Arise is now available on all major platforms and it will be a comfortable experience for franchise fans.

JRPGs in general can be an acquired taste in players, but the formula adopted by the series has been organized and refined over the years. Although it does not take risks with new drastic elements, its familiarity does not remove the pleasure and quality that fans expect from the Tales series.

The two main features of the gameplay are the fight and exploration of the outside world. The battles take place in instances or arena confined without influence or distraction from the outside world. While sailing around the world, the player can interact with the NPCs and find hidden objects in the different areas they will visit.

The characters shine as unique voices through the game. They each have their own personalities who bring interesting sequences and dialogues to cinematics and really help to define the pace of action.

Although the fight does not take place on the map explored by the player, it takes place in real time, unlike the battles in turn by turn used by some games of the genre. Some previous tale games allowed the multiplayer in combat, but Tales of Arise is strictly solo. However, it has a new combat mechanism, where characters can team up to trigger a devastating group attack.

There are not really revolutionary and daring additions that Tales of Arise does, but familiarity will make the fans happy to come back to this series.
