PlayStation: Sony Knips 3 classics Commentless the light out

PS3 and Vita: LittleBigPlanet only playable offline

Nowadays, only comparatively little games are brought to the market without online features . Many game titles therefore have at least some basic functions, such as online leaderboards.

In contrast, LittleBigPlanet pursues a concept that allows players to create their own levels, swap with each other, and thus enjoy content of players on their own console.

Sony now - and without prior announcement - abruptly prepares an end. The Vita version and the LittleBigPlanet trilogy for the PS3 are affected. As the company has communicated to Twitter, the reason is the security of the online fan base.

Last year, the Side Scroller had repeatedly struggling with hacker attacks and technical difficulties. This led to multiple shutdown of the online services for the PS vita and PS3 versions. This will not allow access to online content over most of the year .

LBP - no concrete statements to the problem

Neither the developers of Sumo Digital nor Sony themselves have expressed themselves particularly obvious to this topic. The cause of the constant failures are security updates, it was said.

The LBP community sees DDOS attacks as the actual core of the problem. Whether it should be an individual or several parties, is not known.

Although players still have access to the respective offline campaigns of different versions, access to the shop and social features is no longer possible. The online access to the PS4 version of Part 3, however, works again after the new patch is displayed.
